It's called New World Order...If somebody's got to police the planet it may as well be the U.S.A.

Seems no one else has the balls to step in and make a stand. They would prefer to turn a blind eye and think everything will be just fine until it's too late and a madman like Saddam finally reaches the ultimate goal of attaining a Nuclear Weapon and 'USES' it.

Gimme a break...This had to be done 'NOW' not 'later'

Wildcraft...your so quick to criticize. Do you have the answer? Bush makes me proud but he pisses me off something fierce at the same time. Stop whining and make a positive statement. It must be nice to always blame and whine about the other guy without ever being critical about your own world. Yes, we all have our problems. But stop Bit*hin about the US and look to your own!

When you all Americans see what really happens then you will understand. Until then, watch your good CNN and listen to your "president". Hey, at least we, the rest of the free world, dont look at the sky, filled with fear.
By the way, stupid Patriotgames, with what you are the greatest nation on Earth? When we were teaching the world Astronomy and Mathematics, your country was an empty field... As someone said, travel to the Greece to see what is real freedom, and fave real fun, eat real food, and see what means to live, until then i feel sorry for you.

No I Dont have the answers never claimed to except to say why become involved in the first place.
My country and government drive me nuts.I certanly am glad we are not number 1 except when rated by the rest of the world as the best place to live and that is fast going down hill I wish my gov would do something about the way America treats Canadian citizens Killing and ubducting them as well as others or planning to break the treatys they've signed with us or abide by the WTO rullings they ignore even though there members or the terorists you've harboured in your country that have caused us all so much greaf on and on since 911 I wish my gov would cut of all the trade with your rouge nation Water Power Wheat Natural Gas on and on.But like Patriotgame said youd probably try to come up here and take it, Good Luck. We'll be even harder to spot then the VC were.
Belive me I'm glad that China or Pakistan arent running the show but it doesnt mean I have to like the present regime. And what does Bill Clinton have to do with any thing he embaressed his wife and daughter and put a fat ass peace of trim before the needs of his people, hm he sounds like most leaders of the free world. We've had our share up here belive me to stand behind any of the mainstream Leaders blindly is to be led astray and to be a fool.America is so rich why not have said FU UN Newworld order and bombed Iraq with food Medacine Books AK47s and Kept every one elts out I'm sure there would have been a compleat revolt by the opressed victoms of Saddams regime and they would for ever remember the great friends who made them well enough to through off the chains that bound them.
Inless you control the future leaders of Iraq how does this present situation increase the safty of Americans at home or abroad. In fact wont a bunch of so called friendly Iraqies now traveling abroud in fack make it even more likely that youl harbour more 911 terorists at home.

"I'm sure there would have been a compleat revolt by the opressed victoms of Saddams regime and they would for ever remember the great friends who made them well enough to through off the chains that bound them."

Ummmm.....they did...and if I am correct (unless those are all doctored images I have seen on the CBC,CNN and BBC....not to mention Arab TV)...Sadam gassed them.

No matter what anyone says, "your damned if you do, damned if you don't". Iraq was freed, and several countries complained about the US involvement. Now it comes time to re-build it (the US has put up the most money), and now all these countries want their share of the money (and oil....yes, this about oil too), and the US and England have said "No". Kinda reminds me of WWI and WW II..and a certain beach in a certain country. In WWII, a certain world leader invaded several countries and killed several thousand people...and the US didn't get involved until it was almost too late. Now,history repeated itself (in a smaller way mind you), and the US got involved before it got to the same point, and people don't like it (except for the money that is now up for grabs). And notice....the world is now kissing Bush's butt hopeing to get involved in it all.

As for some Canadians....I know alot of them just love living in the US (ummm.....maybe thats why there are so many in Florida and Arizona right now enjoying the winter). If you love your country...great.

But I'll say this....I LOVE THE USofA and severed my country proudly for 10 years. If you don't like the US....don't come and visit....spend your money at home.

All I want to say that, after all of his power and stringth he had before disapeared so quick. If we saw him before the war, he had the power and stringth to control his country, he had such a beautiful castels, womens, money and gold has disapeared. SO, I just want to say that there is no one who has a powerful and amazing stringth will not last for ever.

Bla Bla Bla...
My country hase'nt won a war in my life time Korea Vietnam Somalia Gulf war. We may have bombed the Heck out of civilians a bunch of times but any bully can kick up an ant's nest. To realy get rid of all the ants takes the willingness to get on your knees and squish them one by one'nasty work.
Hey Wildcraft your one crazy canuck but you are right about GW and his crew.

Okay the US got their man, and there's no denying that. But, with the way some of you people are talking, you'd think the Americans are the ones who single handedly won every war ever fought!

I certainly don't like most politicians but thank God most politicians have more 'Sense' and 'Tact' than most of these posts.

This has turned into quite a pathetic thread...what a shame that human beings from all over the world can stoop to such levels as some of these comments show. I guess this is how wars get started.

How Sad

I agree. It's too bad that jealousy, hatred and anger can have such a powerful and controlling effect on the mind.

As an American I can fully understand the concept of doing what is best for AMERICA first and then what is best for the world as long as it doesn't hurt America. I can also understand non-American citizens' anger over that attitude. What I can't understand is non-Americans not understanding America's attitude. The French, English, Greeks, Italians (Romans), Jews, Chinese, Japanese have all had their day and when it was their day they had the same attitude we do today. The primary difference is that when it was their day after a long day of conquest, murder, rape and pillaging they brought the conquered back home as slaves. Has anyone any solid information about American's raping and pillaging after conquest? We'll leave murder out because the definition of murder during wartime tends to become a little subjective. No, we do not see such information because it isn't happening. Instead we see American soldiers building schools, repairing infrastructure, providing food and medicine, doctors and teachers, training and money. Can anyone show me another country in the history of the world that rebuilt the conquered and returned the country to it's people after it was no longer a threat to it's own? Germany is run by Germans last I checked. The rest of the European Allied nations were helped, supported and then accepted as equals in spite of their debt they owed and still owe as far as I'm concerned.

Those of you who hate America so much, why is it that so many people from the rest of the world, from every country, religion, gov't structure, etc. is beating a path to our door? We may not be perfect, in fact far from it. We have however shown a history of learning from our mistakes albeit sometimes slowly and we have been accepting of all peoples whether they are willing to accept us and our ways or not.

The fact still remains that the UN for over 10 years has called Saddam Hussein a monster, a butcher, a murderer of his own people, a dictator not to be trusted and other wonderful accolades. Over 60 nations in the UN have signed on to this endeavor and yet America is the bad guy. Like Mr. Barton said, we're damned if we do and damned if we don't. Or in the words of Christ, We played the flute for you and you did not dance, we sang a dirge for you and you did not mourn.

Again, for the right or wrong reasons, we did the right thing.

It is becoming my opinion that the US should disassociate itself from the UN, declare the UN null and void, remove itself militarily and economically from the rest of the world and let the rest of the world take care of itself. We should seal off our borders, let anyone who wants to leave leave and let no one else in. We may have to demonstrate a willingness and readiness to immediately destroy anything, anyone and any country that would threaten us or our borders but otherwise stay completely removed from the world's affairs.

I imagine we'll see a lot worse from dictators and terrorists once the check of the US police department is removed from their neighborhoods.

excuse me but YOU need iraqy petrol. But you don't want to pay it. You prefer fight against the only tiran who'se got petrol. OL.

But we don't need you. Euro > $ .

You can quit UN. Before, you need to pay youre debt in the organisation.

I beg your pardon. Have you seen one barrel of oil taken from the Iraqi people by the US yet? No, you haven't. When Irag's oil production is back in full swing I'm sure we will be the first in line to PURCHASE oil from the Iraqi people. We may even allow them to discount it to us as a form of repayment for freeing their people from Saddam but even that is only fair. Do we fight when there is no benefit to the US? Sometimes. I'm thinking of Somalia, Yugoslavia and Haiti for example. Yet only a fool will not fight to protect his country and people from a known enemy. I'm glad to see that you are willing to begin shouldering some responsibility for the world's problems by stating that "we don't need you. Euro>$". Good for you. Now finally perhaps you'll be willing to pay back the US for everything we've done for Europe since before WWI. I'm thinking perhaps of WWI, WWII and the Cold War. You'll notice that you aren't speaking either German or Russian. If you're willing to be a gentleperson about it perhaps a thank you would be in order. Until then we will consider our debt to the UN to be paid in blood. Our soldier's blood.

BTW, I've seen a comment or two about the US not following the UN and the WTO rulings. When they are not in conflict with the US constitution and the interest's of our own sovereignty we have followed them. The UN and the WTO however have repeatedly and deliberately implemented rulings that are in direct conflict with the US Constitution and the American way of life.
