ObjectDock 1.0 released!

http://www.objectdock.com

Stardock has released ObjectDock 1.0 today. ObjectDock is a freeware program that combines program launching and task management into a single "dock" that does it with style.

ObjectDock allows for dock items to react in many different ways to mouse overs and supports "Docklets" which can add new functionality to the dock.

New in ObjectDock 1.0 over the previous beta:
1) Mormegil's LaST images and default dock included
2) Added "Load ObjectDock on startup" option
3) Updated Docklet SDK (with new weather docklet source) available for download from http://www.objectdock.com
4) Docklet overlay updating now works properly under CustomEngine mode. (e.g. for clocks and cpu meters)
5) Further enhanced Weather docklet to allow for multiple image sets
6) Fixed up small glitch involving shutdown item image changing.

I would be lost without my dock.So I appreciate your making the effort to upgrade a free program.

.One thing has bugged me from the beggining, the dock activates even from underneath other windows, this causes a lot of cpu usage and makes other windows 'grabby',especially while dragging a window out of the docks way.

.Anyone know what use mouse activation does?

.Even so,I love my dock!

funny - I have been using 1.0 for 2 weeks now.

Kona: same here.

IR: Same was happening for me, I just checked and noticed there is a checkbox for Use Mouseover which I unchecked, and it won't activate the dock while you have a window over it.

Stardock Central still displays 0.99 as the newest version.

I have a slight oddity: My labels keep disappearing - I have to restart the dock to get them back!

Ice...
SD Central has it as .99, but go to www.objectdock.com and get it there.

Kona...
The version you have is probably RC1 (1.0 build 284) released about two weeks ago....the release version 1.0 is build 285 in the about screen.

ama02,it dosnt seem to work for me...thats my only real gripe with OD,its frustrating but not enough for me to unload my dock.

.A cool new feature would be if you could make the whole dock transparent until you mouse over it.

Sigh! Well it was working for me, then it crashed...hard. Now when I launch it, it launches fine but if I try to hit the "configure" icon it gives me a good ole windows error. I've tried uninstalling, reinstalling, old version, new version and I still get the error. Anyone else have this happen?

Strange!?!?! For me it just work better and better all the time Only problem I had untill now was that "exit dock icon" was creating errors so I had to exit the dock from the configuration window... Now that works as well . It gained some speed too according to my Sysmatrix!!! I LOVE IT AND CAN NOT IMAGINE MY WINDOWS 2000 PRO WITHOUT IT ANYMORE!!! THE BEST FREEWARE EVER CREATED!!!

THANKS!!!
