logonstudio > user account > frame picture

Anyway.....logonstudio doesn't define the actual user picture. You change that by control panel/user account after you log on.

That's the version you'd want to use on XP for a more thorough skinning job like you're trying to do.

Not that I'm aware of, pretty certain there is not.

If you're trying to run LogonStudio while logged in as a user with limited rights, try running while logged in as a user with administrative rights.

Might try changing it on a different theme just in case there is something funky with the theme you are trying to do now.

You could also try uninstalling and reinstalling LogonStudio.  Apply the default Windows logon, reboot, backup your LogonStudio themes, go into Impulse and uninstall LogonStudio, reboot, go back into Impulse and install.

One other thing - is the XP 32-bit or 64-bit?  Quite possible logonstudio won't work right on 64-bit.

Can tell you that you have to save the logon, then go into the skin folder and change the files directly in there, you can't do it in the logonstudio

The easiest way to edit the images such as frame picture is to open the folder for the skin, path is C:\Program Files\WinCustomize\LogonStudio\skin name. Then open the images in your graphics software and save back to folder when have what you want. This way there is no need to select image in editor as it will be used by default when logon is applied. Frame picture or user account background is Bitmap_112.bmp in folder.

Other than any of my logons, I tweak the UIFILE to suit image sizes I use, you should be able to download any logon edit image to what you want at the size they are and apply and use the logon with the new image without ever having to open the logon it the editor.

Not sure,LogonStudio for XP has been out of development for several years now so may not work well on 64 bit system.

1.7 is the Vista/Windows7 version which has been made backwards compatible to work on XP, only the wall image can be changed, this is for all 3 OS not just XP.

Go to your Start button and click on Control Panel look in the upper right corner and click on User Accounts, then you can change your picture which you desire

If you do not click on save and apply the picture you Chose (Bitmap_114) will not change to the one you tried to substitute. If you are just applying you lose your settings and all changes wherever that were not previously saved & applied will be lost. After Changing one of the Bitmaps always save & apply and you will see the changes. I have made the mistake in the past of changing alot of the bitmaps and then forgeting to SAVE, which meant I had to reinsert the new bitmaps all over. User account pictures are Bitmap_114 and even if it is in the folder will not automatically display in the logon. You must change the User Account pic via contol panel/User Accounts, then browse to the logon folder and select Bitmap_114. Also read Cavan's way to change the default pic, it is an alternate way other than Save & Apply. So with his way you are directly saving the image yourself instead of saving through the Logon Editor. Same results. Hope we have helped!

I guess people didn't get what you meant. Ok the account banner it is, not the user picture.

Anyway, I've given up on the editor and figure to get things done how I want is to learn and change the script.
