I wrote a quick article today about how you can make some desktop fun for friends and family. Step 0 should be: Download DesktopX, it's free to download.

Then start making those desktop goodies. This article shows how one can take a photo and turn it into something on the desktop (in this case, an Internet Explorer). Happy skinning!
