windows 7 ultimate wont read

I purchased the game and when I put it in the computer read the tray as empty!!  I just want to play the game for fun and I dont have an internet connection (i posted this at a friends house) and have no wish to download and transfer except as a last option so I please need help.  If I can at least get my computer to recognize the disc I could work with it but right now im lost.

Well, since your opting out of the easiest way to get the game and play it. Guess your left with taking it back to where you bought it and asking for a replacement.
