Right now, WinCustomize is in the process of making a journey from Atlanta to California.  While on the surface the site continues to run, under the covers an immensely complicated set of DNS juggling is being done to keep the site up and running at all.

As a result, you will notice for the next several days certain things missing (i.e. broken link to a skin or an image, etc.).  WinCustomize subscribers and Object Desktop users are currently able to access a premium server we have up and going so thing should work fine if you have a WC premium subscripotion or Object Desktop account (since they're the ones who pay the bills in the first place).  But for everyone else, hold tight. When it's all done WinCustomize will have an immense amount of bandwidth available to it and be on whole rack of new servers Stardock purchased for the site this last week.

Well done on the reporting, good to see you keeping people up to date. I would also like to give deep respect to all those artists that provide the sites quality content - and all for free - keep up the good work skinners - without you, Stardock and this site would not exist. Maybe you should charge them for making use of your work! nah!

You mean charge the USERS don't you? It's users who use the skins (such as you with 13 megs of downloading already).


WinCustomize provides a free place for skinners to share their work. A lot of sites on the net charge space for disk space. Here, they get it for free in exchange for letting others use it. It's as symbiotic relationship. Everyone wins.

Thanks Brad for the update info....I live in Huntington Beach California so being closer with that whole rack of new servers will be GREAT!! Only need to get WinCustomize mag sent to me & I'm all set! KUDOS!
