Mesh Files issue

I just bought 4 copies of the game.

I have verified that all 4 computers have a NEW, fresh install.

I have verified that each system has a different serial key through Impulse.

Impulse and Sins Trinity have both been updated through Impulse, on all systems.

All versions of the game show version 1.011

And no matter which of the computers tries to act as host, the other three computers have this error message:

"Your mesh files differ from the host's. Ensure you and the host both have the latest update."

Any ideas on how to fix this?

And I just scanned all four install directories, and they all show the same:

1.96 gigs

5396 files

37 folders

And I used WinMerge on two of them, and it scanned all the files and compared them, it says they all are identical.

There is some sort of a problem in the Trinity compilation--a real eyesore that needs to be fixed with an Impulse patch ASAP--that causes this.  I only play the game in online multiplayer and just about every time I am on, one or two new players complain about the exact same problem.  I think it's easy to fix.  It involves removing 3 mesh files from a folder.  Here is the sticky thread from the Technical forum which explains how to fix it:

If your problem persists, post in that thread and also consider sending email to [email protected]

I tried that thread, and it didn't work.

I did however figure it out on my own.

I deleted all the files in the 'mesh' folder, and then had impulse verify the installation, and re-update the game. Ended up downloading about 15mb patch, and then they all worked.

Glad to hear that worked.  So a tip for new purchasers -- you might need to delete your Mesh folder, then have Impulse either Update it or Verify the installation.
