They've all done that. Versions are not yet compatible.

I don't think this is a bug- versions should not be save-game compatible because then they couldn't tell if a bug was "natural" or some artifact from your previous version.

Save compatibility is the exception, not the norm. Do not expect saves to ever work between versions--doubly so in beta.
