For the past 18 months myself and a few others at Stardock have been working on a PC strategy game called Galactic Civilizations.

Yes, my friends, I have lived a double life of skinning and PC game development!

The game has just been released and should be available in most retail stores in North America either now in the coming days.

Gamespot, just reviewed it and gave it a great review.

Wow! That's fantastic news that it got such a good review - well done guys! Making any kind of game nowadays must be a horrific undertaking, so I would have been impressed whatever, but it sounds like you've made a top product - will definitely be checking it out when it hits here in the UK.

Halo blows McNUTTALOT, it's story is pointless and boaring. The only reason it is any good at all is the multiplayer.

I'm not a gamer... but my boy reads Gamespot religiously. He'll probably pick up a copy and play the bejeebers out of it. That should get you started on your 1st 6 pack!

I am curious if you guys have ever played that old bbs game TradeWars? Great game for its time. Also have you thought about releasing a demo? Nowadays I really don't buy games before play testing them. Not saying your game isn't great, I'm sure it probably is, but I have been burned way too many times buying games which got awesome ratings and turned out to just plain suck. Again, I'm sure your game is probably great, but everybody has different tastes. If you can't or don't want to put out a demo no big deal but I figure it's at least worth asking.

Well, I have downloaded installed and started it, and I am overwhelmed. There is SO much to learn and do, it's actually a little daunting...I think I have to wait until I have had my fill of Splinter Cell and 1942 before I dive in.

Stardock has created a VERY rich game here, layers upon layers of play to be discovered. You just have to have some time to invest...this one is going to be like crack. GaCracktic Civilizations.

its seems to be a great game im actually going to go out and get it this weekend, reminds me alot of Star Wars Rebellion, but this game looks so much more invloved!
