Another bug I am having is after highlighting a cursor set, I have to click apply twice to get it to work in Windows XP 32-bit.  It has been doing this for ages too.

Gee, I wonder if anyone at Stardock has even read this thread since it was posted?  :S

I couldn't use..this or any other version. Kills Windows Explorer and I have to reboot in safe mode to remove. It looks neat though. Sound packager won't work either.....it gives me an error trying to load sound theme. Maybe the problems are related..

so, when will we actually get a working version?  i mean, what, 2 or 3 years now i've had this app and it still doesn't work?  and conflicts with multiplicity pro, another stardock app?  i really want to know why we can't get a working version, with fixed bugs i reported over 2 years ago?

Might post in support section & link back to this article.  FWIW.

i have open support tickets, over 2 years old, that just stop getting responded to and all i hear is it's directX issue not cursorFX, so support on this product is kind of pointless now as it will never be fixed or working, wasted money

i wish they could atleast tell us what the stupid fixes are, since the major bug i know about hasn't been touched, but avoided!

XD

I had to stop using CFX a while ago, had some nasty interactions with Picasa Photo Viewer. Sent in my specs to support and never got a follow-up. Needless to say, CFX lost out in the priority battle, and I don't really miss it (the 7 cursor isn't so bad). CXP was soooo much better. :|

All CFX has done is become less usable and introduced that homogeneous gay interface all the programs seem to have these days...

Oh, and I just love the way my cursor goes into a slow motion frenzy when Mailwasher checks my mail...

Seems this is the way all Stardock Software goes besides the 2 or 3 best sellers (and games of course...).

When you say all the programs seem to have, are you including WindowBlinds and Deskscapes in that?  If so I am curious to know what in particular you dislike about the UI and what if anything we could do to improve it in your view?

Regarding CFX itself, I have mailed the right people about this thread.

The only glitch I've seen on any of my rigs is that the cursor reverts to the native cursor when moved outside the shutdown dialog (shutting down from a domain logon) & hovered over any part of the dimmed screen.  Doesn't do that when hovered over the dimmed portion of the screen when shutting down from a non-domain logon.

My only problem is if I go from a CFX theme to Windows Default then the cursor disappears then it is find the cursor using keyboard and reboot as hotkey combo set does not bring help.

CFX and Mailwasher play fine together for me. Win7 64 bit.

Perhaps another colour or even a selection on the interface besides the bright apricot would be visually more appealing but it's no big deal as time spent at the interface is so insignificant.

My only problem is having to click apply twice. And I can live with that, what's one click.

I do, however, tend to do something I probably shouldn't because of it. If I find a cursor in the gallery that I like, I download it, I choose open, and my cursor goes to the windows default, so i click download, and open again, and it applies.

I don't know if this gives the artist 2 downloads or not.

And I see nothing particularly gay about the interface. To each his own....... :-" ;)

so i guess it's never going to be fixed, really, this is getting pathetic with so many stardock apps that just don't get fixed

Which other apps are you having problems with?

not word one since object dock beta dropped, and even so, v1.9 had outstanding bugs for many years that are now in 2, like dev fell off the face of the planet, theme manager doesn't work, hasn't it what, a year?  there were apps that were suppose to get updated back when vista was released, even were dated, that still havent been updated.  multiplicity bug with cursor fx.  just seems to me that everytime a new OS comes out, another stardock app i love never gets updated to support it, windowFX, iconFX.  at this point, all i use is windowblinds and iconpackager, and iconpackager still has bugs i've been trying to get fixed for several years and have given up, just like i did with cursorFX, why bother paying for this stuff anymore?  i would be better off just buying windowblinds and not my object desktop subscription at this point
