Poll result: What religion are you?

Talk about politically incorrect polls. Sheesh. But we asked and over 1,400 people answered.

What religion.

Christians make up 55%

But agnostic/atheists make up 27%.

Islam: 7%

Jewish: 3%

Other: 12%

What is this? Poll result day?

This poll was baddd by the way, it came down to two options: 1) Abrahamistic religion; or 2) no Abrahamistic religion, completely disregarding the other major religions out there.

Hey those are pretty cool results. Its just to bad that most of the people claiming to be Christians dont act like it.

I've often wondered how many Christians were out there just waiting to tell me how to live my life! Funny thing though: as a Taoist, I couldn't care less!

Brother Bob was very upset that the International Church of Bob was not listed on the poll. I just nodded at him in agreement. I think I'm bored the the ICB now so I've been doing some church and religion shopping. I was going to be a Scientologist but it's just too expensive. I think I want to join LandoverBaptist they seem to know what religions all about.

Here's the poll I want - how many Christians don't want to be associated with the Christian establishments because of the negative aspects of some "ruling" party. I.E. Do you go to a Southern Baptist church but despise the Southern Baptist Convention.

Ah.. the politics of religion.

I agree... Landover Baptist sounds perfect!

Every Christmas Santa rides on his sleigh to celebrate his birthday by giving presents to all the good little christian boys and girls..

Isn't that what Christmas is all about?

The only small thing that I saw wrong with the results is that the Agnostics and the Atheists were lumped together into one package. They are by definition complete opposites.

In the end no matter what religion that you choose to believe it in the end at this time of year it is all about Family and Friends.

I'm quite surprised by the result.
I really would have thought there was more christians than that. From the occasionnal relgious debates we get once in a while, I had the feeling I was one of the very few non-believer. Seems we still make up 27%. Hum, I guess most are shy, or afraid to get flamed.

Personally, I don't believe in atheism.
And, I just don't know about agnosticism.

Well, paxx, I'm not a Christian but I'm also not shy... I just usually don't see the point in debating online about something I don't believe in.

paxx and jtfolden you will need to go immediately to landoverbaptist.com and purchase (at a premium I might add - no discounts to non-believers) your UNSAVED t-shirt. You will be required to where it at all times so that the saved can quickly and easily identify you as such and avoid you at all possible opportunities. DAMNED ATHEIST and DEMON t-shirts are also available and appropriate for your kind. And being that there are special places for people like you I would suggest the purchase of similarly branded thongs. This way you can gradually become accustomed to the rectal irritation you will be receiving during your eternal incarceration when our Lord returns as Kirk Cameron shows in his excellent Left Behind movies.

Larry: Athiest, bu its root, means somebody who has no religion, not somebody who has no god (THEO is the root for "religion"). Maybe we should invent the word "Adetist" for somebody who has no god.
As for myself, I truly do not believe in God, and I think religions only cause wars. I am quite definitive about my dislike for religions, but as for the existance of God, I do not totally reject it. As I said, I do not believe in God, but I admit that I may very well be wrong. I which cause, I guess I'll find out when I die.
That's why sometimes I say I'm agnostic. God may or may not exist. We'll see at the end of the tunnel.
