Winstep Software Technologies releases WorkShelf 1.2!

http://www.winstep.net
WorkShelf can be attached to the top or bottom of the screen or simply left floating on the desktop. To save valuable screen space, Workshelf can be hidden from view or collapsed down to a simple tab display. Quickly moving the mouse to the associated screen edge is all it takes to make it fully visible again, even when covered by other windows.

Workshelf fully supports drag & drop, making it simple to manage applications, files, printers, etc... With drag & drop you can move, copy and re-arrange items from one location to another, both inside and outside WorkShelf. Dropping a document onto a Workshelf item will open the document in the target application, while dropping an .ico file will customize that item's icon.

WorkShelf features useful modules like an animated Recycler bin and a speaking Digital/Analog Clock that synchronizes the time with time servers on the internet, with more forthcoming... Modules can be displayed 'in-shelf' among other items or as free-form/free floating objects on your desktop!

WorkShelf is fully customizable, with hundreds of different themes freely available online. Best of all, it integrates perfectly with NextSTART, Winstep's Start Menu and taskbar replacement: changing a theme in NextSTART will automatically apply it onto Workshelf and vice-versa.

New features in WorkShelf 1.2 include:

* Full Multi-Monitor support!

You can now drag and dock WorkShelf onto the screen edge of any monitor, or even have it span all your monitors!

* New Text-Effects

Text in the shelf and desktop modules can now have outline or drop-shadow text effects.

* Completely re-designed Theme Manager!

The new theme manager makes it that much easier to select and load themes. Themes can now feature a preview screenshot as well.

* WinAmp 2.x support!

You can now control WinAmp 2.x from WorkShelf itself.

* NextSTART 3.0 support!

Supports some of the new features in the upcomming version 3.0 of NextSTART, like the ability to dock WorkShelf's desktop modules into NextSTART's Startbar.

* Many more improvements and fixes, ensuring that WorkShelf continues to be one of the most powerful and flexible desktop organization tools currently available!

Ok, this one is one to avoid if you dont like seeing the darn pop-ups while you try it out. Really really annoying pop-ups usually cause me NOT to purchase the software, not sure why they dont get that constant shareware reminders just lead to 'uninstall'

Trent, you must have tried WorkShelf before if you started getting the shareware nag so soon. The program is fully functional and it won't display a *single* nag screen until 15 days have ellapsed in your 30 day trial period. After that it will nag you a bit more for each day that ellapses. In the Registration tab, how many days did it say you had been using WorkShelf for?

As much as we would like to rely on user honesty alone to purchase a program, every shareware author knows that UNLESS you provide some kind of incentive to register (such as getting rid of the shareware nag OR extra functionality) most users won't, unfortunately. We prefer a nag screen after 15 days rather than crippling a trial version.

This said, we usually reset the trial period for each version. Unfortunately we did not this time (again, this should ONLY affect you if you used WorkShelf version 1.1 before). We just took steps to correct this problem, so you might want to download again and enjoy the 15 days without a *single* nag screen.
