Fences won't move

I've looked and looked thru-out this forum and I'm just not finding that anyone else is having this problem.


I am having a resolution problem with a new monitor. Certain games I have change the monitor resolutions completely (system-wide) and I have to change them back every time.


The fences, however, WIL NOT MOVE. They will move using the configure fences tool, but they will NOT go to the bottom of the screen (when I choose bottom). They are lined up horizontally right in the middle of my screen.


I know this must have something to do with my monitor's resolution, but no matter how I change it, the fences will NOT move.

I am using Vista and a 17-inch monitor.

Please advise.

Have you downloaded the lastest video drivers?  That might help.  The monitor book should tell you the native resolution.  Check the advanced display settings and it will give you a list of the settings that will work with your particular monitor. 

As for Vista, been there done that and I highly recommend Windows 7.  It is truly worth the price if you can do it.  I spend a lot less time tweaking things now that I have Windows7.  I had some funky video things with Vista too.
