Galatic Civilizations does not seem to work with windows 7 64 bit :(

I have run GC II on XP and it works fine.  Changed my OS to Windows 7 and when I start the game both my screens go blank then pop up and the game looks like it is going to start.  Then windows comes in and says that an incorrect process was aborted and then the it shuts the game down.  THIS is ANOYING.

Go to My Documents\My Games\GalCiv2 (or the DA/TA folders as appropriate), open the file prefs.ini, and make the following changes:

Change
DisplayWidth=1024
DisplayHeight=768
ColorDepth=32
Fullscreen=1

To
DisplayWidth=(Your desktop width)
DisplayHeight=(Your desktop height)
ColorDepth=32
Fullscreen=0

Then save the file and start the game.
