Glad to see reflections, but if you look close, they are not real "reflections". Not accurately reflected, just a semi-transparent upside-down image of the icon. In some cases that works, but in others it doesn't work so well... (like the lock, for instance)

Good question, I bought ObjectDock Last year, will I need to pay for the new version as well? I like OD enough I might if I have to but would be great if I don't have to, especially since I will have to renew my subscription pretty soon and would like to get CursorFX as well.

I have OD PLUS as well got last year do I have to pay again for this?

From what I have seen even if you are a current owner of ObjectDock Plus you will still need to pay for this upgrade as it is going from 1.X to 2.0.

I did receive an email that offered current Plus owners an upgrade for only $10. :sun:

Actually, John, that can be accomplished by clicking the link on the OP. Or this one:

And it seems to be good for all, not just previous owners.

I think it stinks that we have all been waiting for an upgrade to OD for over a year, and now we have to pay...... :NOTSURE:

And it don't seem that it's worth Even $10 more to me!!!!

The UI looks like it's going nowere, when you compare it to Windowblinds and deskScapes UI (fantastic.)

sign of the times...... :S

I may be incorrect on this but if you just have the free version I believe it's $19.95 to upgrade.

Hmn....like the look....but may just wait a bit more...really not looking forward to paying for OD again....*sigh*(I do understand that Plus was stand alone, and not part of the Object Desktop package.)

From the description:

* Minor version updates to products are made available to registered users at no charge. For instance, if you purchased ObjectDock 1.0 you would have had access to 9 minor version updates at no charge. Only major version changes (like moving from ObjectDock 1.x to ObjectDock 2.0) will have an upgrade charge.

With the standalone products there is no time restraint on the upgrades (1 year subscription) but just the major version changes. But we are getting the discount I guess.

Meh...$9.95 U.S currancy ain't too bad. Look at what we spend for renewl fee's every year for Object Desktop lol. X| I am well and truly caught

Its only 6 (uk) pounds!!!!! Its the price of a burger meal or something. Amazingly cheap for a clever and probably very good piece of software.

$9.95 is not too bad. I guess I am not accustom to paying for upgrades of this nature. I will simply have to wait till I can renew my subscription first, then get CursorFX and then OdjectDock 2.0. Stardock makes good products and paying for them allows for better software in the future. Besides, most of us would probably blow those $9.95 on some crappy thing at the store or a couple of Whopper combos that would only last for a few minutes. :D

Combined with fences Pro, ObjectDock is a very handy tool on my desktop

I'd like to get everything for nothing, but I don't have a problem paying $10 to upgrade to v2.0. WindowBlinds is more important appearance-wise, but ObjectDock is vital to me functionally.

Will ObjectDock 2 introduce the 'child' (for want of a better word, actually sub-dock might be a better word!) docks that I currently get with DellDock i.e. I click on the Office icon in the dock and and a smaller dock opens below so I can select the office app I want? If not £6 seems a lot to pay for something that essentially just adds more eye candy than functionality, especially as my current OD+ seems to work just fine under Windows 7.
