In one of the journal entries about Diplomacy, two factions had pretty SWEET portraits, one was an evil looking female for TEC and the other an evil looking Vasari. Is this going to come with the Diplomacy expansion or was that someones custom portraits?

Don't worry, already plan on shelling out the immense amount of 10 dollars for a game. (/sarcasm) Woo, I'm excited. These portraits were getting a bit bland, and ya I could have DLed some custom made, but I love seeing products from the creators themselves!
