So what do the expansions mean?

I got all 3 games as a birthday gift.

But im not too sure, i mean i launched the original, and it has "play Entrenchment" and "play diplomacy" in the main menu.

So does that mean i can only play 1 expansion without the features of the other and such? Thats just quite sad, is there a way to play with the features of both?

O and i have got one pre-order called Trinity coming soon too, does that allow me to play all or something at once?

You can, but its kind of a waste. The latest expansion is the one with the newest material and best balance.

When i launch entrenchment, i get the option to play Diplomacy, but when i launch Diplomacy, i dont get an option to Play Entrenchment.

Does this mean Diplomacy includes all expansions in it?

Diplomacy requires Entrenchment to play so if you are playing diplo, you are also playing entrenchment.

Sins Trinity is Sins + Entrench + Diplo all in the same package.

Yes. The expansions build on each other. So you can play Original Sins or Sins plus Entrenchment or Sins plus Entrenchment plus Diplomacy.

Yep, if you play Diplomacy you're playing the total package with *everything*.

This seems to be a waste if you can already get all 3 games anyways. That's all Trinity is, a Sins of a Solar Empire Gold Edition. As said before diplomacy has all of the features combined, though if you like mods you'll probably be running them on Entrenchment until they are updated.

The Dip one is a preorder beta (albeit the last one, since it hasn't been released yet.

It has been released. :) Been playing it for a couple of days.

Strictly speaking, it hasn't been. But since Walmart broke street date, they re-enabled Diplomacy for those who already had the beta and patched it to the release version. It officially goes on sale on Tuesday, still.

Ah well I stand corrected. :(

The original game has all the regular content.

Entrenchment has everything the original game had, plus starbases (I could never go back to playing without starbases; so much awesome), minefields, special static-defense upgrades, and assault cruisers.

Diplomacy has everything that Entrenchment had plus a revamped diplomacy system, envoy cruisers, diplomatic pacts, missions, enhanced pirates, and a bunch of other goodies.

assault cruisers.

Huh? Oh those structure busters, nvm.
