valantakos what version of Object Dock do you have, free or plus?

When you say 'static' do you neam you do not want the dock to epand o get bigger on mouse over?

Open the dock configuration and select 'Position' and then select 'Hide in background when not in use'.  Is that what you want?

Open the Configuration window. > Positioning> Interaction> Keep on Top.

If you meant you wish to see ONLY the dock on the desktop, then choose "load OD on Startup" and "Hide Taskbar".

This is true for OD+, not the free OD.

That is how it works for me when I select 'Hide in background when not in use", I don't have to move my mouse.  I'm not sure why it does for you?

I think the biggest problem here is 1) Language 2) Maybe OD+ doesn't do what you want, exactly....

Try this setting:

Turn off automatic distance from the edge, and then use the slider to move it away from the edge to the position you want it in. Uncheck use as drawer. Uncheck hide off screen.

Ok, I think I get what you mean. First of all, Right Click on empty space on your dock and make sure

'Autohide' is unchecked. Then, go to the Options screen, then to the 'Positioning' page, and select the

'Keep on bottom' option and click 'OK'. Now, your dock will no longer hide, and will be visible only on

the desktop. If u want to use it while other apps are open, just move the cursor to the edge where

the dock is as you would normally and the dock will show up. When you move the cursor away, the

dock will go back to the background like u want.
