1.2 Seems to have scrambled my sound

Ever since I installed the patch, all the voices in the game are sort of scrambled.  Basically, anytime a voice says anything, it's either not the right voice or it's something inappropriate to what's going on.

Examples:  At the selection screen, I click on a demigod and hear something like "Light needs 2 kills to win" 

Even in-game, when telling a char to move, their dialogue is either not in their voice or something that makes no sense.

I won tournaments in singleplayer with the 2 new characters and would like to actually hear their endings.

A number of users have reported this. The solution seems to be either to reset your gameprefs (which sometimes works) or to just reinstall everything.

Since I'm on dialup, let's hope I don't have to tie up the phone line for 14 hours to redownload the patch.

No need to redownload the patch (unless your patch is somehow corrupted) just use the archive feature in Impulse (right click Demigod in the games tab in Impulse and select Archive Application) to back up your current Demigod install. Uninstall the game and then use the Restore Archive feature found in the Impulse Tab in the upper left corner of Impulse.

I did all that what Neilo says, didnt help.
I reinstalled game and downloaded patch again, didnt help. Seems to i must play all the time w/out dialogues. Im angry i bought such bugged game...

Hm, I suggest you make a clean reinstall. Uninstall the game, delete the install directory manually, then also manually delete the \My Games\Gas Powered Games\Demigod directory and then reinstall the game.

Remember, my comment was only yo save you downloading the game and patch again, not to actually address your issue.

As spooky said a clean install may very well help.

But also have you made sure that your sound drivers are up to date? Sound drivers are easily overlooked, be sure you have the latest release.

Since your issue is not a community wide issue, i hardly think it is due to you buying a bugged game. It is more likely a specific issue with the game and your PC.

I think i found solution go to game folder, then sounds and run EN_VOICE_UPDATE.exe

It helps me. :grin:
