Ideas for some new items

If you have an item or mechanic you would like to see ingame come post it!

Heya all,

Just wondering if anyone has any items or item based mechanics they would like to see ingame, and that potentially i will be able to add to my mod. I have been getting an item done every 2 days atm (complex ones take me anywhere between 4-24 hours, while simple ones take about 15 min). No idea will be rejected and i will add them all to the top of the post regularly. I am looking at creating some new item tabs at the artifact shop and standard shop following the completion of the 2nd favour tab but would like some ideas.

cheers,

exx

...since many complain about the lacking of stun ability for some demigods, how about a "stun" item, which will stun/interrupt your enemy for a second, cooldown will be 30 sec. !

I want a single target dispell. Hell, remake the Scroll of Restoration a single target dispell. Would help a lot, you could even use it to get people out of stuns when they're higher level and last longer.

It could even replace my idea for Universal Gadgets. Make Scrolls of Restoration cost like 500, dispell debuffs from friendly DG/Towers, buffs from an enemy, and cap locks from flags.

No one seems to like this idea, but I do.

I had an idea for an item related favor item, though I must warn you that I've given this very little thought and am not really sure if it would be very usefull:

A favor item that would function like the magical coin purse but in addition to reducing the cost of items (probably to the tune of 20% as morph uses in his mod) it would create a fourth consumable slot. Might perhaps be useful for an UB that wants to carry locks, ports, sigil, and wand of speed by end game.

I would really love to see your wards added in as items. They would be so badass. Here are my suggestions:

1. Slow Ward

2. XP Ward

3. Silence Tower

Amulet of teleportation already does that, minus the coin purse effect.

It has a longer cooldown than normal teleport scrolls though :\

We need some sort of weapon damage item that people take seriously. Perhaps a favor item with +5 - 10% weapon damage.

As far as the regular shop items go, we don't really need any more, some of them just need buffs, and others some nerfs. I think if we nerfed all items in general, it would make it so that kills were not as devastating. Many people just quit after they are behind a slight bit because there is no way to win against an enemy who is better equipped.

I like the idea of adding a spell resistance skill that would be better against spells than the AA, tower damage mitigation of armor . It would go a long way towards fixing the health stacking issue.

That's probably because a 20% item cost reduction item that let you have an extra slot like proposed would be overpowered. My point thought was that rather than making a whole new type of favor item that would be very complicated and might not even be possible it'd be much simpler to just make a favor item that mimmicks the functionality of one of those must-have items to which everyone loses an item slot.

It'd be useless early and mid game though. I don't think anyone would take it seriously at all to be honest.

how about items that, by having them, will allow you to escape certain things?

example:

a token that prevents you from being stunned. it gets used after a stun attempt fails.

or...items that decrease the total effect.

example:

a ring that lowers speed reduction by 5% forever. so 25% would be 20%. or it could be a ring that lowers speed reduction by 20% of the total value, so 25% slow would be 20%, or 50% would be 40%.

or even...items that increase your buffs.

example:

a ring that adds 20% extra buff. so instead of raising speed 25% you raise it 30%.

I'm fairly sure that movement speed in this game is additive, so an item that reduced the cap would never be as good as an item that increased you speed by the same amount.

So take the Wand of Speed, it's +25%, meaning that a 30% snare drops you to 95%, rather than .7 * 1.25, or 87.5%.

I have this already:

Static Orb

0.5s Cast time,  Cooldown = 40, cannot cast while moving

On Use: Causes 1 .5 second Stun and (100 + 19 per lvl)

+5 Movement Speed

is that kinda what you would like,  if not post up your idea :)? I can also make a freeze one that targets towers as well, but i didnt know how i would balance it out properly.

This is really nice, one of my favorite items:

Venom Stone

+15 Damage, +7% Attack and Movement Speed Aura

18% Chance on Hit of Causing 300 damage Over 4 Seconds

This could be difficult, you can either reduce AA damage or reduce all damage but you cant specifically target skill damage (i may be completely wrong). Will have a look tho :)

I could do attack speed as well i suppose but. I have done speed in one of the items Epiphenomenon mentioned  B) -

Slow Ward : On Use: produces a ward (15 seconds) that will apply a -30% Speed buff to ALL demigods in the area (range 18), and prevents speed reduction on the wearer demigod by more than 20%. Also passively heals ally's in range for 50 hps (total of 750 over 15 seconds).

This is a useful item against speed debuffing teams. Ie if you get hit by mines IV and MOTB you will be at the movement speed threshold right? so using this item will now set all the opposing teams (those in range) speed at a lower threshold and allow you to get away/ get a kill. Also you can use it for attack purposes, as it automatically grants you a 10% speed bonus while the ward is active, great for chasing, neither team goes very fast, but you can make good ground on a target in a small distance.

The buff idea would be very difficult, as each buff affects different things in the unit tables, you can alter a single attribute such as speed or health etc. but to change them all would take alot of coding.

a token that prevents you from being stunned. it gets used after a stun attempt fails.

A nice idea.
