ObjectDock unable to retrieve weather information

Why is my ObjectDock weather docklet unable to ever retrieve the weather/forecast? I set my firewall to NOT block it.

What verison of ObjectDock, free of plus?

What OS are you running?

What is it the notice you receive from the weather docklett?

Free. Windows 7. The notice is "Feed not available... try again later"

The thing is, when I initially installed objectdock, it worked. After a day or two, it stopped working and I was never able to get it to work again.

Welcome, ThumperSD! I'm really glad I could help. If it 'goes bad' again, try repeating the fix. It's not the program's fault...it has to do with the weather service.

Thanks, DrJBHL. Where would I put the new Weather.ocx file? I searched my entire computer and no such file currently exists. Thanks.

Open to your OD folder (C:\Program Files\Stardock\ObjectDock) and look for it, replace the one there with the one dl'ed from the link from DrJBHL above, worked for me also Thanks DrJBHL  :digichet:  :digichet:

Try replacing the Weather.ocx file in your current OD with the Weather.ocx from here:

http://sd.stardock.com/ken/stardockweather.ocx

remember to rename the stardockweather.ocx    Weather.ocx

Thanks a lot, it worked perfectly! However, when I went to the installation directory, there was only StardockWeather.ocx, no Weather.ocx. I created a copy of the original file, and replaced it with your link (without renaming). As soon as I did it, the dock updated almost instantly.

Many thanks
