Win 7 Dual Monitors

I am running the x64 version of Win 7 and am very happy with the product.   Of course, I would love to have the start bar working, but I can certanly wait.

I am working on a laptop that travels with me between the office, home, and client sites.  When I am in the office, I keep the docs on the second monitor.   Of course when I disconnect, it jumps to the laptoip main screen, which is of course expected.   The issue is on the reconnect of the 2nd monitor, I would expect that the dock would return to the correct location.  Unfortunately, it stays on the first monitor, though when I go inot the positioning menu, the setting does say display2.  When I reselect display2, it jumps to the correct location.

Possible solutions:

- Have the dock detect and jump to the 2nd monitor when available.

- Allow a fallback position.  (When only 1 monitor, bind to the right, otherwise jump to display2)

- Bind the doc to the monitor only.  If display 2 isn't available, it doesn't display.

Thanks.

Yeah that is the same problem I have. Even the Win version ist the same :D I am looking forward and will wait for this feature as well. But I habe one more wish.

If I create a dock on the left or right side and choose "Hide off-screen when not in use" and turn on the 2nd display I can see the dock on the 2nd display while the dock is hiding. Would be great if there will be a solution as well.

for example:

if 2nd monitor connected disable the dock on the left/right side

if 2nd monitor connected the dock stays on the right/left side but on the 2nd on.

by the way sorry for my bad english :D
