Deskscapes not working

I am using XP SP3, Deskscapes 3 and fences Pro.

At one point this deskscapes program worked but now it does not.

I open Deskscapes, select a dream, it shows in the preview, I hit apply changes, I minimize the deskscapes window and what i see is my original background is gone, the background is now black with a light halo around the screen and I can never get the dream to show anymore. Since it doesn;t work I go back to the main window, select disable dreamscape but it wont reapply my old desk view.

What is wrong, nothing really change on the PC in general with the exception of these few programs?

I've long had trouble getting deskscapes to work with fences on XP. I uninstalled fences and deskcapes has been working fine ever since.

Fences is incompatible with Deskscapes and ActiveDesktop on XP.

It is compatible with Deskscapes on Vista and Windows 7 though.
