Stardock has put the first Windows XP-aware version of SkinStudio up on Object Desktop. This beta version makes it much easier for users to create, edit and import XP Start bars. SkinStudio is designed to make it relatively easy for anyone to create skins from scratch or to modify their existing skins for personal use. Skin authors have found SkinStudio's import feature to be powerful because they can easily use features from their other skins (such as buttons and scrollbars).

Thanks, but no thanks. I've tried this and previous versions but using plain ol notepad suits me just fine. I sure as heck aint gonna fork out money for a crappy, buggy app. Shouldnt Stardock be making this a freeware? It'd surely get more people to use WB. Stardock's just being greedy IMO.

if you have some specific problems with skinstudio, send them to [email protected] and they should be able to work you through them

also, the vast majority of the skinning tools in skinstudio are accessible in the free version.
