I had a game like that were I waited for 7 minutes "waiting for other players". It was a 2v2 game.
I waited.
My opponents waited.
My ally did not.
What pisses me off the most was not the loss, but the wasted time. I could have aborted strait away for the same result.
This is why I abort if getting to the pulsating icon on the map splash screen takes more then 2 minutes.
