ObjectBar 0.65 PUBLICLY available

Stardock has made ObjectBar 0.65 available for public beta (this is the first public beta of it).

Info:
ObjectBar is a brand new program from Stardock, makers of WindowBlinds and DesktopX. It is designed to be the ultimate Start bar extender/replacement. Stardock has gone and integrated the best features of non-Windows OSes into it as well as adding its own features. Every OS has its own bar-like interface - MacOS has the Finder, Linux has its wharfs, NeXT had a dock, OS/2 has a warpcenter, etc. ObjectBar can provide the features found in those OSes plus what's in Windows XP such as taskbar grouping and extended quicklaunch features. Additionally, it supports plugins, skinning (and its skins are theme independent, a first for this type of program), tear off menus and more. Stardock teamed up with the author of MacVision to create this. This version includes themes that emulate the MacOS classic look, QNX and a custom one. The enhanced version allows people to download any of the dozens of additional themes out there (such as ones that give WinME/2000/98 the ability to have an XP Start bar).

It is also the first program to work with Explorer to provide fully skinnable system trays (you can move your system tray anywhere) along with theme independent skins (take a skin from one theme and use it in another).

Users can download it at https://www.stardock.com/products/objectbar

no uninstaller?
reaked havoc on my computer, the systemtray thing didn't like playing with traysaver. crash on startup, no shell
all back to normal, but still no uninstaller?

did you reboot after installing?

trayserver only picks up programs that appear after it loads, so this normally requires a reboot before you get a working system tray

the problems occured AFTER the reboot.
and it wasn't that it wasn't grabbing the icons, it didn't like playing with traysaver, a similar program that i already had installed.
i'm still looking for an uninstaller, cause i can't believe this would be a plain delete.

DarkElf, hopefully there will be more skins made now that a public preview is available, and more people have a chance to play.

i guess they should live in alleys off of scraps people toss out so they can release products for free. Sheesh. Incase you havent noticed the industry is suffering, so have a lil compassion.

Ever notice all the warez kiddies are unable to write two sentences without at least a couple of typos?

Stardock never claimed it was freeware. If Betanews is saying it's freeware, talk to them.

after doing some of the personal customisation possible with ob, i continually find it difficult to go back to 'regular' windows - xp or otherwise.

Extremely useful - most functional "Object Desktop" tool so far. Found adding Popup Menus somewhat awkward and time consuming but still worth the pain. Pointing a Popup to another path forced you to close Objectbar from the system tray. System tray object has minor confilct with RamIdle. On another note, Windowblinds, under Win2K, seems to conflict with MS Office Shortcut Bar.

Is there a tutorial on how to skin this? Or some other documentation? I'd like to try porting one of my NextStart themes.
