Would you be running a higher than normal DPI?

I suspect CursorFX isn't aware that the click position has changed relative to the cursor in those non high dpi aware apps (assuming it works correctly for closing windows like Explorer windows)

DPI ? Text in win7 is at 113% normal is 100%  BUT I can see the TINY TINY 100% Text if that is DPI but CFX Did Not Like my Win7 Ultimate before I set the DPI to 113%  as I stated in my E-mail(s) one here the others 4 to 6 made it to SD .. that Win 7 and XP Pro is well was a Clean install and the only thing I did after clean install was to install Impulse > WD > CFX + > DS

cause those are the programs that MY win 7 is not liking

All Explorer window work fine and IE and FF work Fine to...

my resolution is at have to go to 7 but i think it is at 1680x1050

go to control panel and view large icons to show adminstrative tools select this and go to computer management. Then select disk Management. Take a screenshot of that screen and post it here. I'm looking to see your drives and if it is setup properly.

Also is this an upgrade install or a clean install?

Given that all the apps that have issues are being scaled (notice they are slightly blurred), I suspect the issue is indeed being caused by your dpi settings.  It would explain why the other menus and windows all work fine as they are dpi aware and are not being resized by the dwm.

The only other thing that comes to mind is if your taskbar is on the left hand side of the screen as that can cause some strange coordinate shifts sometimes.

Neil, I changed my DPI to default 100% and now WD, DS work right  so this means StarDock needs to make them dpi aware .. and so does the others

3 possibilites come to mind right off....

1. use a lower resolution on your monitor

2. buy a bigger monitor

3. use your mouse scroll wheel to zoom in and out in IE (hold down CTRL key)

Glad I could help.

The issue would seem to be with CFX rather than the apps in question.  While it would be ideal for them to be dpi aware, they are not required to be so and it is an opt in thing which older apps are not aware of.

The DPI scaling that Vista / 7 does for non dpi aware apps is complex and can cause some problems due to how it has to work and I suspect thats why CFX is having some problems with those apps.

I know you do not want to hear this but here it goes... I would figure you are not using bitlocker drive encryption which is used by this partition. But this partition is also used for a lot of other things people do not want to think of such as compatitbility and restore information along with a protected boot area. We had a long explaination of the 100mb system partition at the launch event I went to. Thus you should have installed with options from the drive to be used for windows 7 and a 100 mb system partition would of been created for a proper install of Win 7 Ultimate. As seen here...

No I am not using Bitblocker

I installed XP Pro first then split the baby 500GB drive in half then put Win 7 Ultimate on. from what I understand that bitblock if you do sometimg wrong your S.O.L. I know I should have made a partion for them but i just wanted all I could get. Well do this the next time I have to reinstall . but I don't thing it asked me if I wanted to...

I to went to the, "The NEW efficiency" launch Thanks Microsoft for my Windows 7 Ultimate (32bit) hopefully they will have one for Office 10 too like they did with office 2007 and Vista.

but I do Keep all my stuff On my Slave Master and if I could get Stardock stuff to look thier I would then I would only have to one place insted of 3 XP 7 and back up (aka Slave Master) like WD, CFX, IP, DS, RC,

thanks for the info but not sure I know what you was totally talking about
