Using favor points in SP

 I just started playing and I love this game so far but for the life of me I cannot figure out how to spend my favor points on "persistent items" as the manual says.

 Keep in mind I only play single player so if that makes a differance it's beyond me, I tried the multi and found no additional options there.

hmm... on the far right side of your hud (look middle of the screen at bottom), there should be a big circle.  Click there.  You can buy favor items in that spot.  As you win games in single player, you'll get more favor and be able to buy new items?
