I used Descapes trial on my laptop, and I saw that the destop animation, is turn off, when I'm on battery,

that's a good idee to spare, battery.

But does somebody nows, if a soft existe, how reduce the size of the screen.

example: I have a 17", and if I turn on baterry the of my desk reduce at (a logical) 15", so I spare many battery.

Due to how TFT displays work, there would be little power saving because the bulk of the power usage is in the backlight which is either on or off for the entire screen.
