How do you open replays (.record files)?
Launch sins, go to single player, in the menu choose watch, and click the file you want to watch and then click watch
Where do i put the .record file so the game sees it?
For xp its c:\Documents and settings\username\local settings\application data\ironclad games\sins of a solar empire\. In that directory i suggest you to make a shortcut of one of the record folders (it does not matter which one) into your desktop and then just throw the replays you download there.
You must have the same version of the game as the replay was recorded in.
I have Windows 7 and I put the file in the sins of a solar empire folder. I'm trying to run an Entrenchment 1.04 replay and I have that same version of entrenchment but the game doesn't see it.
