TB vs a minion build, advice?

What's a good way to take down high level minions?  IS there a way?  At low levels, yeah, but once you are faced with a minion build erebus, with nearly 1.5k hp on the minions, it's hard going.

Rain of ice is ungodly expensive and doesn't do the damage necessary for tough minions.  RoF doesn't finish them, they can just run out (or if you freeze them) unfreeze and run out, and they heal very swiftly.

Parasite egg does some good when it's close, but once you're lvl 15+, it's not killing anything while you're pounding on pointy ears.

Sadly, oh so sadly, my only luck is with Cloak of Flames, and RoF/or RoI.  That overkills it, but it leaves him standing alone and scared, but it doesn't take long for him to be right back up.

I guess the best at high level is Rook, with slam and all the turrets, plus towers maybe.

Honestly, unless you are facing a complete noob; facing just about a full minion anyone is a bad idea (excluding sedna). But two RoI, 2 Ground spikes (3 for nightwalkers) should do the trick really.

You'd think so, but some minion builds are ungodly strong.  However, not matter their hp by level 15+, you should have enough armor to render their attacks either harmless, or greatly reduced.

Yeah, they're only usefull in early/midgame, later on the damage they do is pisspoor.

Really just use rain of ice/ring of fire or a nova. TB has the most AOE's in the game.

Rain of ice

freeze them all (if possible within the range of 1 or more towers)

rain of ice

If that doesnt do the trick your enemy is probably fed.

this costs a lot of mana but its tb were talking about so it doesnt really matter.

Staff of renawel and freezing them would keep minions inactive most battles. Renawel is mana consuming but can be great support if used with ice tb.

Hybrid TB is what I enjoy playing against Minion Erebus.

Blade of the Serpent-Cold Aura-Rain of Ice will meet all your mana needs so you're free to stack up armor and speed for all of your slots.

Stay safe early game and farm creeps constantly due to your neverending mana and as the game progresses just prioritize points in RoI and Cold Aura and the two extra in Ring of Fire.  You can help protect the towers and keep Minion LE honest for a while with your area affect and mass killing of enemy creeps so he has less bodies around to make new nightwalkers.  Once you get to level 9 get Frost Nova and he's essentially neutered:  RoF (depending on the situation, otherwise just approach in cold mode), then Frost Nova, then drop RoI and hit BlotS before it hits filling up your mana completely, switch forms to fire, etc etc...

1-RoF (better for the start of the game brawl at the XP flag)

2-RoI (you can now tag all creeps behind the tower

3-Cold Aura (you're now harder to chase down and kill)

4-RoI II(you are now a neverending mana, creep farming machine)

5-Cold Aura II (you haven't armored up yet so you need to be able to get away)

6-RoF (only use your fire ring when you feel completely safe)

7-RoI III (you're now a priest farmer, yay!)

8- Cold Aura III (-10% speed for them so if you got boots of speed you can outrun some builds... bout half I think?)

9- Frost Nova (use it only when you have to to save yourself or a buddy, or are about to recharge your mana with Blade/Rain)

10- RoI IV

11- Frost Nova II

12- RoF III

13- RoF IV

14- Save

15- Frost Nova III and Insp Flame <-- best level 15 skill in the game IMO

Works for me against tower rooks and minion builds, but I don't play in top level games much.

Anything AoE clears out minion builds. TB fire circle and a fire nova do it easily, and for not too much mana. Frost nova and circle of fire work great too.

TB is tricky to play I think, but he's pretty survivable with BoF and does very decent damage with spells. He can cast for a good, long time if he has both mana crowns (~7.7k).

Ice is always best vs minions. But a good General will go assassin build vs a TB.

For me it's mostly about CoF and fire aura. If you can move in, drop your circle before minions reach you, and then dart away you'll wear them down eventually. I wouldn't anticipate actually holding flags with it, but it works well enough to protect a tower.

I don't really get where people get the idea that minion damage peters out and becomes useless though, I seriously doubt people are getting more than 50% mitiation, and minions are still effective around level 7, at which point you should have 40% mitigation if you value armor at all. Of course their ability to bring down your total HP as quickly declines, but armor isn't penalizing their damage any more than it is your own autoattack.
