How to beat AI on hard and nightmare ?

How to beat AI on hard and nightmare ?

For the past few days, i've been trying to beat 5 AI (randomly chosen) on hard with me and my team of 4 AI(Normal). similarly, i've chosen random for me and my team. how is it that i'm losing every single game . If i can't even beat hard difficulty, how do people beat nightmare difficulty when they (1 person) is up against 5(nightmare) AI ? o.o

Much help appreciated . thanks .

Yes zooming in and out sometimes is important. In addition there is the minimap. There you can also see some interesting things if you make a quick look at it. You can see where the demigods are at the map and where the creeps are. So you know where the intersting spots are where you want to look when you have time to zoom out and take a closer look at an other spot of the map.

This things improve when you play Demigod more often.

how is it that i can't win with generals ? i tried an assassin oak but these AI keep ganging on me with stuns after stuns -.-

edit: also, i realized that spells don't work well against these AI cause they stack hp like theres no tomorrow .

and i noticed that they really like journey man treads . -_-

What is important with generals is to buy the priests. Their healing helps a lot. Beside of that if you do not user the minons of them they do not play much different than the assasians. Though the minions of Oak and Erebus are quite good so I usually use them.

It is possible to easily win with Oak. I have not played him for a long time so I was a bit confused what build to choose but here is a replay:

http://www.gamereplays.org/demigod/replays.php?game=51&tab=upcoming&show=details&id=104107

Got all awards and won with 220 favor points against 3 Nightmare AI at prison. The problem with Oak is that he has a bit a slow start. He gets better at higher levels. As you can see in the replay it is possible to domiante the AI with an Oak.

Though not all general are at the same strenght. Personally I like Oak most but also Erebus is very strong. Sedna is a bit more difficult to play as she lacks a bit in damage but she is also fun as she is very durable because of her healing abilitys. Queen of Thorns is difficult to play and I do not like how she has to be played, so I can not say much about her. Oculus is also fun to play with. He needs much mana but is quite strong as far as I have seen. He can do much AoE damage which is nice to level up fast.

MY build: (ofc the best :D )

Favor: HoB

Items: Monks

Skillz

1 Bite

2 Coven

3 ICA

4 Bite

5 Coven

6 Swarm

7 Bite

8 Coven

9 ICA 2

10 Bite

11 ICA 3

12 Swarm 2

13 Poisoned Blood

14 Poisoned Blood

15 Depends, if giants are out lifesteal aura, if night the army of the night thingy

16 what you didn't get earlier

17-20 stun/mist/stats all depends on map and giants

Stay out as long as possible for a level and gold adv focus on holding the lane and flag and when the other dg shops pop HoB and work on the tower

Shopping: lvl5

Banded and Scaled Helm

Cur if you can

Fs1 next

And if you still have gold Vlemish

Maybe high priest if you go back to the crystal

Lvl 7-10 Shopping:

Unbreakables, Plenor, Nimoth (the magic $$ 1500)
Then Hauberk

Bishops

After that narmoths ring

You should be buying cit after lvl 10 unless you can get godplate…

Playstyle:
The ONLY person who can push you out of a lane past lvl 5 is a BotS beast and a good one at that

Bite is very important don’t waste it only usse it when you get the maximum benefit of health, armor reduction, and slow Which means you need a decent number of pollies and you should have lost X health (depends on level of bite) also when facing another erebus DON’T bite first… think about it…

Once you get mana helms you should spam bite BUT always make sure you have enough mana for swarm it will save your life

You have epic gank and escape abilities, but if oak or UB comes into your lane make sure that you wear them down with your minions first.

During the first 5 levels or so minions will be your most important weapon but don’t be afraid to engage esp against towers.

Hmm that’s all I can think of just post any questions about my build cause I don’t have much experience with the mist/stun build

THIS IS COPY PASTE FROM ANOTHER THREAD BUT ITS MY BUILD

IMO this is THE best ereb build for all around goodness but everyones different

End of STYJ's quote
It is possible to win against all AI combinations. It is only a matter of practise. I also got better as I played Demigod. At first it was hard to win a tournament but later it was no problem. Then I set my personal goal to win the tournaments with at least 1000 favor points (the maximum that can be reached is 220 * 8 = 1760 favor points) to have more of a challenge.

The combination of enemy AI demigods can make a game more difficult or easier. Personally I find an AI Sedna the most unpleasent enemy as because of the heals she is very hard to kill. Easy demigods are usually Rook (slow, sometimes pathing problems and in general dumb AI with a tendency for suicidal attacks) and the Demigods with low HP like TB. Though it is very important to consider how a game develop. If you have AI members in your team and/or some of the enemy AI kill grunts like mad and level therefore fast they can get dangerous. For example Fire TB can become very dangerous if he has some levels in advantage and buys items so he becomes super fast although in a normal game he is a good target because of his low HP.

a rook is super irritating when he has journey man treads to retreat and mageslayer + ring of nomorth? (sp error i know). and with maxed god's strength . he can hit 600 -.- and have an insane hp regen + drain . and theres no way you can run because my team's grunts will trigger journey man treads's effect .

how would i counter him then ? stack armour ? o.o

how would i counter him then ?
End of quote

lure him into the towers and wait until he starts to run then stun him and try to hit him with another nuke (spit ect.) if that doesn't work feed off of the AI you can kill until you can speed stack too ;)

Rook AI is slow and not good at escaping. If it is near to the towers it is a near 100% kill. With Oak it is very easy to kill Rooks. Use Pentinence as often as you can and then attack him directly. If you are in a lane put a Ward on the lane so you always get minons to help you. To better show this I played a game at Exile against 4 Rook Nightmare AI.

http://www.gamereplays.org/demigod/replays.php?game=51&tab=upcoming&show=details&id=104203

In this game you can see how easy it is to kill Rooks. I didn't looked at the end but I made more than 60 kills. Though I lost the game as I hesitated a bit too long with the final attack.

edit:

A 1 vs. 5 Rook AI is damn difficult. I tried a few times but I couldn't win. They kill the base defences fast (I have not tried with towers at high) and you are often in 1 vs. 2 or 1 vs. 3 situations in the lanes (played on Mandala and Brothers). In mid/late game when the Rooks have Boulder Roll and Hammer Slam that are tough fights. So for my current skill level I would say 3 Rook AI can be defeated, 4 Rook AI are already quite difficult but can also be defeated but 5 Rook AI is too much as they respawn quicker as you can kill them. So you are constantly in the defence. The only chance I see is to defend against them that long until you have enough Artefacts to go staight to their Citadel and ignore their defences.

Finally won a game against 5 Rook AI. I did not played with Oak but UB and at the end of the game two Rook AI seemed to be buggy so it was not a 100% 1 vs. 5 win. One of the AI stood in front of the shop buying and selling stuff like portal scrolls and potions in a endless loop. A 2nd AI stood in front of the citeadel and seemed to wait for something.

http://www.gamereplays.org/demigod/replays.php?game=51&tab=upcoming&show=details&id=104534

Though even if that would not have happened it seems to be possible to win a game with the UB against 5 Rook AI. It works better with it as with Oak it seems. Probably I would have to change the build of the Oak a bit.
