File conversion issue

I'm am trying to convert the StarBasePhase.entity file to txt but everytime i run the data converter exe it runs, give me no error, but does not do anything. I am running windows 7 64. Also i looked in the install folder for the convertdata.exe that is supposed to come with the game but its not there. I might just be missing something really simple since i have been trying to get this to work for a while but any help will be appreciated.

Try downloading a GUI tool to help you do it, like this one.

yes my textbin gui HAS BEEN TESTED on win7 64bit win 7 32 bit vista 64 bit vista 32 bit AND xp, with sins 1.18,1,181,entrenchment 1.04,1.041 AND diplomacy 0.85 without ANY failed conversions today.

just one tip for you is to create a folder in another location to the program files tree and them copy your sins folder to it, for your texted sins files to make modding easier and allow you to have a sull set of reference files.

I would suggest the 1.181a+d rar as it is the most recient and includes all the convertdata's for all versioned folders ie the ones released with and after entrenchment's release.

also a further suggestion for the reference folders is to have the expansion AND version in the folder name so that the text-bingui will use the correct convertdata to do the conversion with.
