When it comes to Christmas songs I much prefer the more traditional ones, the ones that have more of a sacred spin on them. Few pieces of music have ever moved me as much as Mannheim Steamroller's versions of "Silent Night" and "O Holy Night". I vividly recall turning all the lights off in the house except the Christmas lights and listening to those two songs with tears streaming down my face.

I think Michael Crawford's O Holy Night is soo much better, and what about Bing Crosby's White Christmas? It's a classic!

The list is still pretty good though.

I'm another of those silly traditionalists. Don't give me new remixes of classic tunes. No, I don't want to hear how the latest boy band, or some rapper who actually thinks of himself as a musician (yeah... right...) wants to "interpret" or "personalize" the song. Leave the classics alone. We don't need another mmm-bop version of Little Drummer Boy.

Me too, love the traditional Carols. My fave also, O Holy Night and Silent Night. Oh, and Away in a Manger.
