How do I get ObjectDock to "alert" when a (new) window becomes active

In my work environment, I have to deal with many "parallel" chat sessions and applications that open new windows as issues pop up. Using Windows XP, the application "blinks" in the task bar, when a new window gets oppened and when a minimized window became active (e.g. also for error messages, etc.).

Having also a Mac at home, in this situation the application starts to "jump" in the Dock. However, after having moved to ObjectDock PLUS (!) on my Windows machine, this is not happening.  Because of that, I had to deactive ObjectDock, because I missed many alerts and important chat sessions.

How can this be resolved??

1. Open your "Configure Dock" dialog box. Click on the "Miscellaneous Options" button.

2.When the new window opens, go to the bottom under the section called "Advanced Options for Magnifying Docks." Choose a new attention effect.

Thank you, I had already activated, but it didn't work the way I wanted.

I had to activate that all active windows appear on the dock ... then in this area (not the started application icon) jumps.

So thank you for letting me know that it DOES WORK (yeah!! :) )  ... would be great if the application icon (which is in the dock for starting) would "bounce around" ... so I can deactivite the function to have all open apps/windows also in the dock below.

thank you!
