How not to play oak against Pros...

I knew I didn't want some random guy to play oak against these guys but i didnt trust him with squishy sedna either.  He decided no pent or surge, so we lost 5 kills from someone out running UB.  To bad ninki dc'd when he finally listened to us and got the skills.

Can i just ask how could consider sedna "squishy? She does lack offensive abilites later on in the game but with the exception of erebus (batswarm) sedna is hardest demigod to overextend with up to at least middle of the late game. Debuff removing healing heals, super priests.

Without a decent build oak is about as easy as rook or QOT of over extend and feed with.

What is purpose of the post anyway? any noob will die repeatedly to UB regardless of demigod or build untill realises that it is difficult to 1vs1 or run from a decent UB and how to avoid situations where the UB is able to deal his full dps for anymore than a short period.

Sedna is more squishy then oak because she relies on a spell that can be interuptd to save her, unless u make a none support sedna or a sedna with no interupt oak can survive pretty much anything if they are smart with sheild.   The purpose of this post is to show how not to play oak.. pretty clear in the title.

I was assuming the a random person who you do not tust to play well = 50percent or less wins and under 100 games.

These people cant use sheid well at all, half the time they use it when the target is going to be taking under 100 dps for the next 3 to 6 seconds and is in no danger of dieing. I takes at least 50 to 150 games (or hon or lol experence) to learn how to play oak vs good UB builds and achive a resonable resault.

And yes if you can use abities at the right time oak and erabus are harder to kill than sedna but that does not make here squishy, everyone else definately dies easyer. Sedna is pretty shitty in the current meta game but that because her dps is verry low rather than her being an easy target to kill, she is currently still the best tank up untill artifact damage it just she does not deal much damage or have any slows to chase with. Unless you are forced to start healing right at the end of the cooldown only UB (instant stun) can intentionally stun a heal with any kind of reliblity. And healing wind, priests can tank anything apart from UB, heal is just needed to remove debuffs, unless you are chosing not to buy amour and using heal to compensate for this, then things can definatly go wrong all of a sudden (this does not make sedna squishy just the player read the game poorly, i do this a lot when i pickup sedna as a one off).

nzac watch the replay o.0

I didnt watch the replay but with OAK....u need at least 1 peni, 1 divine justine, 1 shield and 1 surge of faith. Depend of ur style and build u wont put more than 1 in peni (example) but more DJ.

I think the points you are trying to make are: that an "assassin" Oak build up to level 10 is generally the best option especially if the other team has a UB (will have ooze) (i agree with this) and that there are suboptimal oak builds that should be avoided or oak builds should be taken from the net untill you know how to ajust them (i also agree with this). The opening post was not clear about this.

You do have to realise that minions oak does deal significantly more dps than "assassin" Oak but his build was a poor veriant on moral oak which i dont think he acutally got.

Sedna seems pretty durable until someone accidentally synchs a grasp or penitence with one of your heals. She goes down in a heartbeat without constant freedom to cast.

End of obscenitor's quote

Thats not the problem, its that she cant acutally deal enough damage to beet erebus regen (bite, monks) from about level 7 or so without high level pounce and lots of mana and beast can out damage her regen her from level 10.

She only dies like that because 90 to 96 percent of the time she can get away without a health stack and the player fails to reconise the other 4 or so percent. If you health stack you cant actually do enough damage to force generals back.
