Thanks. But why no one uses Mumble ? No need to create a server, there are already many available, just have to browser through them :-)

I'm actually looking into mumble myself... the client is VERY easy to use/install.  The server is going to require me to do some reading if I decide to host one myself.

What kind of mic set up do you guys use... I don't want headphones due to my awsome surround sound... which is why I generally don't use vent or ts...

You actually dont need to have a mic though i know someone cant remember who has a mic installed in his desk and uses a surround sound system

Ah, I'd like that !

Plus, you get almost no lag with Mumble compared to TS. That's really nice.

Now, compared to Ventrilo, I don't know, never tried it :D

Vent is easy to config, but only 8 people can join a private vent.  Mumble doesn't have that restriction.  I spent some time with mumble today.  I can grant individual user access (based on login/pw now), but still need to learn some more before I'd be willing to move over to mumble.

If I do move to mumble, I'll make a post and it will be an all welcome server that is up 24/7 (eg THE DG PUB VENT).  I'll keep you guys posted. I see it as having features for registered users and also being public.  We'll see.
