vista to win7 skinning question

has anyone been working on a skin in vista that upgraded to win7. if so, was there any reworking of the blind that was in progress. what were the changes?

Reworking? Not really. Just adding some more parts. Need to make sure that your taskbar and buttons work for both small and large, though.

what were the changes?

I'd recommend digging into some of the W7 skins released by Stardock Design, like Corporate, or the updated versions of Diamond or Leo.

Just learned that some W7 parts are not yet included in SKS7, like the "moving glow" that appears behind your cursor when you mouseover the taskbar buttons. Don't know what the technical name is.

I think we already have this with SKS6 (called "mouseover flash"). feature found under "extras" in the "edit button controls". I used it with my GB-04 blind.

another question: which version are you using. I was wondering about the professional version with the XP mode. does it give the XP interface or is it just some software emulation compatability thingie???

Nope. Something very different. Mouseover flash is a WB effect. The glow I speak of is a default W7 effect.

I'm still on Build 7100. Should be getting Pro x64 sometime next week. Haven't tried XP mode yet.
