* buying a used copy *

WHAT have i done? There's no serial inside Y_Y

so i just bought a used copy of galCIVII vanilla on ebay, it's the budget version by Explosiv for the UK 

there's a problem

i had no idea this game required a serial number to operate and install, and neither did i asked the seller on ebay beforehand whether he has the serial number bundled with the game i purchased.

couple hours ago i emailed him and he regret to inform me that there is no serial inside.

so what am i to do? does this i can't even install singleplayer now? it's fine if stardock won't give me a serial as understandably i have indeed purchase a USED copy and stardock has no obligation to provide me new serials for multiplayer, but i had no idea this game required the serial to even install and start singleplayer, so what am i do to?

please help me mate, i appriciate for all of your unconditional help.

And now you have learned a valuable lesson about purchasing used pc games. Never do it. Sorry but stardock won't help you on this one in any way shape or form. I would contest the purchase with EBAY and get a refund to your account. If you paid with paypal just contest it through them, or if you used a credit card you can contest it that way. The person who sold you the game knew you would encounter this problem and its techincally a form of fraud probably.

IIRC Stardock will sell discounted serial numbers in situations like this. Contact [email protected] to ask, the worst you'll hear is no.

You can install and play the version on the disc, however you will not be eligible for updates or unlimited redownloads via Impulse without a serial key.
