"open" windows doesn't disappear after closing them

Hey.

I am new to the OD experience and I'm currently running the free version, but seriously thinking about buying the plus version. I just have a small problem. When i activate the option to display my open windows in the taskbar, they do appear in the taskbar, and i can open them from that directory. So far so good, but when i then close the window, the "shortcut" is still in the taskbar, although the program isn't running anymore. I really hope someone can help me?? I really like this program but this is so annoying.

display open windows is different than a shortcut

a shortcut set into the dock stays

when clicked it will run whatever, which will then show in the 'open window' area

when you close the window the one in the open area should disappear but the shortcut will remain

shouldn't matter if you 'x' the window or right click on it on the dock and close

been running the freeloader version of the dock for years

never had one stay after the window as actually closed

open paint, photoshop, what ever you got and minimize

get the problem, hit the prt scrn key

go back to paint, etc

edit > paste ( or paste as new image)

save as a gif, bmp, png or jpg

upload to a photo hosting site (photobucket, imagshack, etc <both are free)

copy the direct link (or http link) generated after you upload the pic -

come back here and click the tree icon, paste the address in
