use .dream files without buying deskscapes?

First, I downloaded severl .dream files only to find out I need deskscapes to play them. Fair enough. Then, I download deskscapes program, ehich then telles me I have to buy the full version to play any .dream files other than the 4 or5 it came with (I downloaded the free version)

Is there another free software which will play my .dream files, or is there a way I can convert them to .mpeg or .wmv?

I kind of don't want to pay to have a nice desktop animation, but I am not going to download the full version deskscapes off of some shady site either.

I am sorry but .dream files are for Deskscapes only.  If you want to use the dream files and do not have Windows Vista Ultimate edition then you would need to purchase Deskscapes.

The trial of Deskscapes 3 (due out within the next month or so) will allow you to try out other .dream files, but will have a time limit instead of the current trial which only plays the included dreams.

I heard that even if you have Vista ultimate, you still need DS to use .dream files.

Is this a recent change to ultimate?

Does ultimate now come with DS or is it simply programed into the computer to be able to use these files.

Even if you have Vista Ultimate you would still need Deskscapes installed to use .dream files, but we provide a version of Deskscapes (version 1.02) that works on that OS (and ONLY that OS) as a free download.

For all other OSes and for newer dreams (1.02 does not run all the latest dream files), a purchased copy of Deskscapes is required.
