I just implemented some anti spamming code this morning so hopefully we will no longer see those ads for online poker and other junk.  If anyone sees any new spamming replies please send me an email ([email protected]) so I can take care of it.

I appreciate this, the spam here was even bringing down the mighty Firefox browser, so you know it had to be bad.

You are welcome.  Though my checks are rather simple so I suspect that someone will figure a way around it at some point and I will just have to keep tweaking the code.  So be sure to let me know when you see bot style spamming!

that spammer almost killed my motivation to blog. i want to say a huge thanks to you for sorting this out, for the first time in ages i have a clean blog containing only genuine comments.

Sorry it took so long. I just have a 101 projects in my queue.  Also I didn't realize how bad the situation was.  I new there was some spamming going on but I didn't realize how much.  But hopefully I am forgiven now.

By the way, I have seen a few posts that were obviously attempting to be spam, but everything after the introductory "Hey, you might want to check out these links about ..." was missing. I dunno if you were intending to only whack the lines of links or if you wanted to kill the entire message, but if it's the latter then you probably still have some tuning to do.
