Copy saved game data from one pc to another

Did a search thru the forums, and couldn't really find the answer on this; though maybe i missed it somewhere.. I currently am running the game on pc #1 ; i've got a new PC #2 now that is faster.  I went ahead and installed the Game on PC #2 via the original Game CD.. But how do i transfer the saved game data from PC 1 to PC 2 ; or do i have to start from the beginning again?  Or is there a specific file/files i can just move over to the new PC ?

Thanks for any assistance...

You can copy the files. The difficulty might be to locate them.

On my vista machine, they're stored in

C:\Users\Screet\AppData\Local\Ironclad Games\Sins of a Solar Empire\Save-SinglePlayer

and it is necessary to show hidden files.

I don't know where these files are stored under other Windows versions. Maybe you should make a search for the saved filenames after enabling visibility of such files.

teamclark4, look in C:\Documents and Settings\'user name'\Local Settings\Application Data\Ironclad Games\Sins of a Solar Empire\Save-SinglePlayer

NOTE the first two folders after the 'user name' are hidden , so to see them you must first click on 'tools' then 'folder options', then 'view', then click on 'show hidden files& folders' then click ok, then you will be able to browse your want to the folder. I suggest when you find the folder that you create a shortcut to it on the desktop

NOTE 2 the 'user name' in the above paths is your WINDOWS login user name, eg Administrator
