Farewell, Toyota Camry 1986.

I'm not very happy about this. Not at all. Sure, there's some humor in this, but I'm not happy.

I had to rush to finish my job earlier than usual in order to be in time to go to family picture at sears. I finished it at 2:15 PM. It ended up being ironic.

Apparently, My co-worker just arrived at that time and saw my car parked at the parking lot. I went to log my work time into the log, then went outside. It's 2:20 PM. My car wasn't there. I had to triple-check, sometimes I got this selective vision. :p

My car wasn't there. Who the fuck would want my car? It's 18 years old. Sure, it was problem-free since I bought it over a year ago other that muffler, but that was the reason I bought it for just $850.

I'm not sure what to do other what I did already, which was to call cops ( closed, call back next day. :p ) and my insurance. I need to have a car in order to go to work ( approx 30-35 min drive, forget the bus... ) and college classes. Basically, I don't use my car a lot, but I use it 7 days a week.

Again, WHO THE FUCK would steal my 18 year old car? It's kinda interesting that I can narrow down time of stealing down to this 5 minute range of 2:15 to 2:20 pm.

That wasn't nice of whoever took your car to take it, I hope you manage to make it places ok.

I am so sorry XX. People do the most insane things. We had our one and only car stolen, also, some time ago. Eventually (I think it was like a week later), the police found our car gutted on the side of the freeway. Nothing inside it (not even seats) but it still ran and we were able to slowly replace the insides. I do hope the police will help you locate your car.

Slight update: I called the after-hours insurance claim and filed a claim. I plan to call police again and meet my agent. Hopefully I will get a rent car to tide me over for a little while.

Update #2: No such luck on rent car, but police finished making a case so it's now a waiting game. Hopefully a short game.

XX: This is awful. I'm so sorry this happened to you. Hopefully they will recover your car safe and sound.

Auto theft is rampant here on Oahu, and basically no car is immune. The Capt. of my husband's company has had his car stolen three times -- returned twice, and then stolen a third time never to be recovered.

Yeah? I hope they will find my car too. I can use bus for college but I'm not sure how to get to work yet. It may be a hell of a long bus/train ride between here and work.

Oh man and just little over one year ago, I could live without a car.
