Australia ..land of extremes

Well as Spirng fades and we head into our summer here in Oz.. it really knows how to bring it on.

This weekend was a scourcher with temperatures rising to 38 degrees C (I think about 97 deg F) in Sydney yesterday, and today it isnt going to be much cooler but wait for it.. tomorrow is supposed to reach a sizzling 42 degrees thats over 100 deg F!

Now the good thing about it is that I am going to be at work in airconditioning for the most part. So I should be ok there.

So you guys in the USA who are starting to freeze your boxes off, just think of us here in Oz laying at the beach, soaking up the sun and melting in the extremes that this land down under brings us.

Phoenix: The strangest thing about the weekend weather was seeing how some reacted to it. Can you believe I saw a guy yesterday walking to Coogee Beach down Coogee Bay Road at about 2pm. Not unusual except for the fact that this guy was winter pale and only wearing a baseball cap and shorts. He would have been burnt to a crisp in no time at all. He may as well have been saying "Look out skin cancer, here I come."
