Can I download this game with my cd key??

I bought this game about a year ago but recently the cd's been damaged to the point of no repair. I found out that on Battle.net you can download full versions of games as long as you enter a never before used cd-key. Is it possible to do the same with Galactic Civilizations 2?

Download and install Impulse from here: http://www.impulsedriven.com/impulse_setup_full.exe

Once installed, sign in with the same account you signed in here with. You can then click the 'My Games' tab and have access to your game.
