not sure for #1, but for #2 you need to put your Galaxy Forge-made maps in here for Vista- C:\Users\[username]\AppData\Local\Ironclad Games\Sins of a Solar Empire\Galaxy Forge. If there isn't folder of that name there, create one.

AppData is a hidden folder; if using XP, it will be a variation of the above.

what do you mean exactly?  wormholes can only connect to other wormholes

select the phase lane and in the tool box on the side you will be given the option to change it to from a PhaseLane to wormhole in the connection type box

yes you can, that way you can have a one-way wormhole, though you must have at least one wormhole at one end of the line to make it work

I love to setup wormholes like that

drives the AI nuts

The AI actually use it at his advantage if possible.

I don't know if in custom maps works but if you try "backstab" stock map the AI will sometimes try to send a fleet to backstab you using the one-way wormhole. If they have the luck to get the artifact that allows wormhole travelling without the research they gain a pretty good advantage there. I've lost there a pair of times until I realized...fun! :)
