Hi,
I bought the game online, downloaded and installed np. What I want is the executables so I can install this in case the company/site goes belly up. Impulse gives a way to archive it, but I couldn't find the file and if my machine dies, there goes the backup.
How do I get the actual exe's?

There isn't an exe at all. Impulse updates the files directly.
In Impulse: Click Orb in upper left > Preferences > Folders.
That will show you where the archive is. Keep a copy of the Impulse installation exe, too. You'll need that to unpack the archives.
also note that the sins does not require impulse to run, unlike steam which requires its client to be in the backgroup to play any of its games.

you can also use the archive feature which i am not as familiar with. somehow its process creates a *.impulse file that can then be moved and restored via impulse. if you go this route, follow kitkun's info above. get a copy of the impulse installer and include it on any Archive disk you create containing the .impulse files.
