Should the ICO community consider playing some standard mods?

Sins Plus mod (more planet types) and possibly Balknights graphic enhancement?

Tonight I played a direct connect game using both the Bailknight graphic enhancement mod and the Sins Plus mod.  I really like both of these mods and wonder why no one has tried to play them over ICO.  All I have to say about the Bailknight mod is--WOW!  The graphics are a huge improvement but it's possible that it could increase the strain on people's computers, causing lag (the last thing we need for online multiplayer).  I could understand it if Bailknights weren't adopted, but I don't see any reason why Sins Plus shouldn't get played online.  It just adds a couple more planet types to the game for variety and new strategic considerations.  (However, it's possible that it could result in an imbalance on the random maps.)

The Bailnights mod is available here:

Sins Plus for Entrenchment 1.03 can be found here:

While increasing lag would be bad, it's not the last thing the ICO community needs.  The last thing it needs is to be divided further.  These mods are great, but keeping everyone on the community running the same version is more important.

End of Darvin3's quote

I don't think it would be a major impediment as long as people knew where to find the standard mod, which wouldn't be too hard to figure out.  The big difference between a mod like this and Entrenchment is that you can download the mod for free.  Thus, if someone wants to join a game they can't join they just simply get the mod.  Also, you only need to get it once and people can easily turn the mod off if there aren't enough people around who want to play the mod.

What I might do is make a tinyURL link to it and try hosting some games with it, being able to easily type out the tinyURL link.
