Non-phase travel

This happen to anyone else?

I have Entrenchment 1.03. In a game I was playing, one of my AI enemies apparently tried to just move to the next planet without using phase travel. It just tried to move there. It almost made it all the way there when for some reason it just turned around and started coming back. This happen to anyone else? I thought there was a limit to how far out you could go from the gravity well.

never tried it myself but I have seen the AI do this, its annoying when you are trying to clean out a system

if it not via phase stabilizer or between stars everything should use the phase lane.

guess its a glitch.  only thing like i have seen is when two planets are really close to each other and slightly off the same plane.  ai ships kinda freak out close the edge of the grav well for a while and then finally jump or i get to the planet can kill them.  i kill them all dead.

Anyone who has ever seen "overlapping" planets in random maps can confirm that you can't move directly from one gravity well to another.  In these rare cases, two gravity wells actually take up the same XY coordinates in the game, and units may appear to be right next to each other, but cannot attack other targets because they're in a different gravity well.  Visually it's extremely confusing to figure out what's going on in these circumstances.

i just hate it when fleets randomly fly off into the wide blue yonder on sub-light engines... it once took me 2 hours to get one of my fleets back into the grav well, because i had spent that time doing research and upgrades, rather that attack, so the fleet decided to desert... losers....

but its annoying, i wish the devs would fix that...
